Loser’s Chess

In Loser’s Chess, also called Losing Chess, Antichess, or Giveaway Chess, the goal is to lose all your pieces or get your opponent into a stalemate. It’s similar to regular chess but with a few important changes:

  • You must capture your opponent’s pieces if you can.
  • The king doesn't have any special rules – it can be taken at any time, and it doesn’t need to be protected.
  • Pawns can become kings when they reach the other side of the board.
  • You win by either losing all your pieces or putting your opponent in a situation where they can't move anymore (stalemate).
